If you're serious about making that engine perform, then get a Velocity Devices ECU.  Completely different animal.  The clutch kit makes a difference, but the factory computer is seriously de-tuned.  Go to nyrocatv.com and read about it.

I've been running mine for a few years now... had to put the stock computer back in for a ride last week (long story)... and it's unbelievable how gutless it feels now with the stock computer back in it.

I've never had an issue with the Velocity Devices ECU... my problems were related to charging system problems and I had to use my pull start on a ride last week... the stock computer starts the bike much easier when using the pull start.

They are expensive, but worth every penny.  After the ECU, go get a larger fuel injector (from a Suzuki M109 Boulevard street bike) and get the revised fuel curves for the larger injector.

Biggest improvements are in the bottom end... huge improvements!

Yeah that is the guy I was talking about.  He will do mine to stage 5+ for like $600.00 and it is supposed to gain me 10-15 mph and hit a lot harder down low.

OK - dalton clutch kit - done. And I can say that I do notice some improvment I am not sure the improvemant against the cost was enough. A very slight improvement in throttle response, much lower fuel economy. If the improvement on this was more I would not mind the fuel economy loss. However I would not do this one again. But I will say that when riding with two on the bike it is better on trails for sure, as the bike does not lug near as much so I do not use low gear at all now.

Sway Bar - These bikes should come with one from the factory. Very large gain for so little loss. Bike handles so much better, does not lean in turns now and I can throttle through turns where I could not before. If you are on the fence about this mod, go ahead.......best money I spent since the radial tires.......Now having said that, do not expect it to handle like a popo for sure. You got to remember that our cats are so large and high that only so much can be done. But still the best thing I have done.......

Next issue will be ignition......I am going to replace the ignition sometime and will be looking at various systems prior to ordering one. (computer)
