Well certainly I have realized that my Kitty is not a cornering machine. So I ordered a sway bar for it and I was hoping someone here has had some experience with how well they work, or don't work. (my popo's all had one and they corner very well)
I also have ordered a clutch kit to improve is bottom end performance. I always found that for a 700 it was lazy at low end. So I have one comming from Truro for it......Any one done this mod, and any comments on how it changes it.
I have been told that both of these will greatly improve the rideability, but it will never corner like most bikes. And this is OK.
The last thing is I want to adjust the toe in. After having made many adjustments, over the previous year I have found that if I have it set to zero, it seems to look for ruts. But since I have set it to just below 0, 1/8 in the straight ahead handling has improved a lot. I wonder where others have set theres for the best handling. It now steers well as well........

Waking up this morning is the most important thing I have done today!!!!!! All that follows that is merely bonus.
I believe AM installed a set of sway bars on his old 2005 Arctic Cat 650 V2 and I seem to remember that he liked the changed in handling once the sway bar was installed.
The clutch kit should be the same one as the King Quad 700 and from past experience the people who have installed a clutch kit in their King Quad 700 really liked the performance and throttle response increase after the clutch kit was installed.
Those 2 mods should really help the big kitty in the handling and performance department.
As far as handling i set mine at zero or in a touch and it is much easier to steer, lthough it does make it a little twitchy in the ruts. My wife really appreciated it when i adjusted hers.....

I have no idea how an Arctic Cat rides but when I bought my 750 Kawi it came with a sway bar. As far as I was concerned it almost totally eliminated my independent suspension and the ride was rough. I removed it and it made all the difference.

Well so far it seems that I am making a good decision then. I will go ahead and install both of these mods and leave my toe in about 1/8 th in. It certainly makes mine handle better. Although I have not tried it any further, like 1/4 in but I am pretty happy now so I will leave it alone.
Thanks to all for your input and opinions.

Cats are definetly not made for cornering, they seem to like running straight ahead the best. Hey sometimes it is easier to go through it or over it rather than around it. Seriously, I was gonna put the sway bar on mine when I first got it to but didn't like the part abour losing some travel and independance on the rear. What I ended up doing instead was replacing the back coils with ones off of a prowler. They have a lot higher spring rate and allow me to run them in the softest setting for a pretty smooth ride but with virtually no body roll or sway like with the stock springs. Then if I really wanna jack her up for pulling or playing I can crank it to the stiffest. As far as clutch kits go, I had a speedwerx one in but didn't find a big difference. The biggest gains I ever got were from re clocking the secondary spring it keeps the secondary closed longer which keeps you in lower gearing for a little longer. I found it gave me a better holeshot than stock. I don't know if yours is a H1 or the Zuki version but there is a guy down in the states that can machine the clutchs to improve bottem end performance without any negative side effects on top end, he can even gain you close to 10-15 mph on the top end according to the testimonials on high lifter and arctic chat.

Yeah I read that there as well. I was really considering the coils when I read some of the posts, then what i will do down the road is with the sway bar I will add some aftermarket shocks and springs so then I will have it all, at least that is the chance I am taking. Sway bar is 200 bucks and is cheapest / easiest to do first as I wanted to do the clucth as well. The one from Truro should force up the revs to bout 900 or thous before coupling occurs and will not affect top end what so ever. And it is the Zukini engine
