Well for the past several months now, I have been wanting to upgrade my present TV. It may not be before another 6 months or so but I've been doing alot of research on Plasma, LCD and LED tv's.
The TV is going in my front living room which has a large picture window, so It has a fair amount of daylight, but I don't watch alot of TV during the day, It's mostly at night time.
What's your experience with them, what do you have, what do you know about them? ETC,ETC?
I'm leaning towards a 52" LED , not sure what Brand name yet.
Any feedbacks would be great.

I have a 50’’ LG Plasma in my living room. My living room is in back of the house facing the south towards a river; therefore I have two big windows alongside a set of 6’ foot patio doors with no curtains in any of them. The tv works great even with the full sunshine coming in. The tv is only 6’’ away from one of the windows and the screen is still crystal clear.
I went with the plasma because it does not matter what angle you sit facing your screen, the picture is not distorted, while with an LCD if you are of center, to an angle facing the tv, the picture want be as plane and will seemed distorted.

I have a 50" LG Plasma as well and a large picture window in the same room. Picture is fine and clear on a sunny day even when the sun comes in the window in the morning. I looked at all the models out there and went with LG because they were the only ones to offer a 2yr warranty when all the rest would only give me a 1yr warranty. Plasma also offers a higher contrast ratio compared to LCD. Like Hawkeye said the viewing angle is better with Plasma.

I too am wonder the same thing. A friend of mine here in Saint John has been selling TV's for some time now and gave me the scoop and I have been looking for over a year now. Plasma for me would be a concern because of where it would be in my living room too much reflection IMO. LCD would be better that way but the LED's do not give off the heat so I will be looking at those more carefully.

I also hear that LED are alot more energy efficient, I'm not sure how much more. Does anybody if there are more benifit to and LED over LCD?
I don't think that I will go with a Plasma, it will be LCD or LED. But If it were for my Basement, I would go with a Plasma, as I don't have much natural lighting in my Basement Den.
Keep your comment coming , It's alwayls good to hear other people opinion.

i was told plasma is the best all around picture because it has darker blacks, there for better contrast. it does us more power than lcd or led(about $40/year) also any thing that was wrong with plasma in the past like picture burn and what not has all been fixed so they'll last as long as a lcd. panisonic was the brand i was told was the best for plasma and samsung or sharp for lcd.
