so wondering how much for the kawi?wondering y u r considing the xt-p,its 6-800$ more than the xt,thats quite a bit fer painted plastics and fender flares imo.does the kawi have steel rims,it didn`t say on the site?how much to put power steering on the kawi?how much 2 buy 2years warranty,it comes with 1yr right?the new visco lock on the outty is nearly instant now, don`t u have to stop the kawi to lock it in full 4x4?there is no speed governor on the outty while in 4x4,kawi when locked does don`t it?the new outtys cvt is snorkeled to the top of the handle bars now....at least the 800 is....now i`m gonna go out on a limb here and talk about the power steering, this may or may not be something that u want or not....all i can say is anyone with power steering that i`ve talked to would never go back to regular steering ,regardless of brand,ps is worth every nickel in my book. oh in case u didn`t know i`m a bit biased toward the can-am,this is my third.seriously tho,i cant really compare the kawi cause i never had one, towed quite a few tho lol...big decision for sure they certainly don`t give either one away....good luck
- You don't have to stop the Kawi to lock the diff lock. It can be activated on the fly.
- The Kawi doesn't have a speed governor when locked.
Powersteering is a good point. If Power Steering would of been available on the Outty back in 2006 when I got the 500, that would of made the decision even easier to get the Outty since Monique would of really enjoyed it.
I personally don't care or need PS and would still pick the 650i over the Outty 650 if I was buying for myself.
I drove bike with PS when I had my 650i without PS and they are still close in the steering department, now the AC 650 V2, was a whole different beast. Heavy Bitch to steer haha.

well close maybe but the handle bars will not be ripped out of your hands now when u hit an unseen rut, root whatever with power steering.well i realize this doesn`t happen alot it does happen and it ain`t fun on the arms....i dunno guess i`m just gettin old...and cranky!for whatevr its worth i`d say a ps bike would have better resale value also imo.
Like someone else stated, I wouldn't overlook a Grizzly 700.. nice ride, and ALL have their quirks, regardless of make.. You just have to decide which "quirks" or "shortcomings" you want to deal with..

The frustration with poor quality far outlasts the instant satisfaction of a low price
